Bacon in the Sun is the spot to be for your beach vacation! This 4-bedroom end-unit is located right on the Gulf of Mexico! Providing breathtaking views of the ocean!

Your first guest bedroom is located on the right as you enter your vacation unit. This guest bedroom features a queen-sized bed with a private bathroom! Additionally, you will have views of the ocean and the resort pool! On the left, you will find the second guest bedroom. This bedroom features a king bed with a twin daybed, bathroom is a shared bathroom! Your kitchen and living room are an open layout allowing you to easily gather together eating meals, playing games, or admiring the beautiful ocean! The bunk alcove is the perfect spot for the kiddos to gather and hang out! Alcove features a twin over twin bunk bed! Your master bedroom offers breathtaking views of the ocean! You will be able to sit back and relax in your king-sized bed watching the sunrise each morning! The room also features its own bathroom with double vanity, bathtub, and walk-in shower!

*Guest will need to pre-register online and pay for parking passes and armband BEFORE arrival. An additional fee will occur if you register the day of.

Peaceful views

"We stayed this year for our annual family vacation. Condo itself is fabulous. Absolutely no complaints. Views are spectacular and condo was clean and very well furnished and decorated.
However, half of the elevators were out of order when we arrived and were not fixed until about three days later. This caused massive congestion and long wait times just to leave the condo or upon returning. I myself wasn’t affected most of the time I just used the stairs but some of our party were unable physically to climb up and down 12 flights every time we left or returned. We were told that the elevators were not working due to the damage from hurricane Helene. That is understandable but there should have been some notice to that effect before we arrived. People were understandably tired, ill and frustrated. Especially with large groups and luggage carts full arriving and Leaving. We took it in stride but people with handicaps should have been warned ahead of time. I would stay again but only after verification that all elevators were in working order.

"This was the friendliest and most helpful and honest place we’ve ever stayed. We stayed in #1401. This was a corner unit with a wrap around balcony. The view was absolutely stunning. It was very spacious. All beds were very comfortable. The couch was my husband’s favorite. It was a down feather couch that you just melted into. I can’t brag enough on this unit. Our stay was during hurricane Helene. It was double red flag the whole time we were there. So no water time for us. I messaged and ask if it was possible for us to extend our stay for a night in hopes of being able to get some water time in. They graciously extended our stay for another night. It paid off!!
In some of the reviews the elevators were slow or not working. The only problem we had with them was around 4:00pm when people were checking in and because of a small fire that had happened on a few floors above us that shut the one down we used most. Overall I can’t complain about them. Just needed some patience.
After we had returned home I received a message that the cleaners had found a couple of shirts in one of the closet. This amazed me, they didn’t discard our items or just keep them. They mailed them to us. For a small fee of course. I highly highly recommend this unit.

"I had an amazing 5-night stay at Tidewater #1401.The condo was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The view from the balcony was breathtaking—perfect for enjoying morning coffee or watching the sunset.

The location is excellent, right on the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The building amenities like the pools and fitness center were a nice bonus. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I can’t wait to come back!

Great views, sunsets and a roomy, beautiful condo!

"Property is in a great location, off the ocean, clean and convenient. The main road can get busy with traffic and currently there is construction near the building. The condo itself is beautiful, clean and very roomy, pictures are very accurate. The condo has 5 tv's, only 2 worked, maintenance came up to try and fix them but couldn't because they didn't have cable boxes to allow for viewing. Minor inconvenience for us. The biggest issue was the building elevators, they are slow and 2 of the 8 were not in working order. Other renters said they had the same problem last year. My personal complaint is that I called the management company and was told that the elevators all worked. I also emailed the owner, and again was told that all elevators were in working order as far as they knew.
4-5 days before our arrival i received an email with instructions for parking, door codes and other general information, in that email it stated that I should expect delays with the elevators from "10-60 minutes" during peak hours! I understand during spring break that its busier and more crowded, and that being patient and willing to wait a turn is required, but waiting up to an hour for an elevator should never be the case. Fortunately the longest we waiting was about 15 minutes, which I feel is still to long, so we tried avoiding peak times of day to depart or arrive back to the condo. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the condo itself is awesome and has amazing views of the ocean and sunsets.

"Our room was just as described; we had enough room for everyone to have their own space or enjoy each others company! My only complaint is the elevators are extremely slow, often we waited 20-30 minutes to catch one. I spoke with an owner on one of my waits and she stated this was an ongoing issue. Other than the elevator wait we were really pleased with our stay! When we arrived our smoke detector was chirping and there was no blender in the room, a simple text resolved the issue within the hour! Great customer service! I will definitely rent again!

"Dealing with Blue Swell was wonderful. Our condo was great except for a couple very small things. One, the ceiling fan in the master wasn't working. The television in the master also didn't work. but other than those little things, the condo was great.
The resort itself was really big and offered a lot of amenities but getting an elevator was a very time consuming ordeal. I'm talking waiting for 20+ minutes. Also, the staff there was not friendly at all! They acted as though we were bothering them if we asked them anything at all!

Fabulous stay on the beach

"We chose this unit, because it was a corner unit with lots of windows, had plenty of space to stretch out, and it had a sectional sofa so we could enjoy watching movies together at night. Also, it was a plus that it had a separate bathroom for each bedroom. It delivered on all of those! This condo was super comfortable and everything was very tidy and clean. The views were amazing, both of the beach and down the beach to the west. All the rooms had comfortable beds (memory foam mattress in the master), and my grown children enjoyed having their own bathrooms. We had no issues waiting for elevators, but we were also there off season in the middle of January, which was great - no crowds or traffic. Only two small complaints - the cable was not working, which was mostly fine, because we had brought an HDMI cord to connect to a laptop to watch movies. They offered to come fix it, but we opted to just let them know so they could fix it once we left. Second, my husband’s feet got pretty dirty walking around, but the floors looked spotless. I wore slippers, so didn’t have that issue. I will say that the property management company, Blue Swell, was super responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely rent this condo again in the future. We had a fabulous week.

Couldn't Have Been Any Better

"I highly recommend Tidewater Beach Resort and condo 1401. The resort was clean, secure and in a great location. The condo was great and had everything we wanted and needed. The restaurant onsite was a favorite of our teens grabbing a snack or meal in between eating out. I highly recommend this property and will be booking again.

Thanksgiving at the beach

"We were a group of three adults and three kids! We were very surprised at the large living area and great kitchen! The bedrooms and baths were very comfortable too! Loved the huge balcony and views were incredible! Disappointed with the indoor pool which is the fault of the resort, moldy and unclean! We got lucky with the weather and my three grandkids had a blast at the beach! The kitchen could use more dinner plates and glassware, but otherwise well stocked. Towel supplies were more than adequate! We'd rent this unit again!

Perfect Vacation Spot for a family of 9

"Bacon in the Sun was the perfect spot for our family. It was wonderfully spacious with enough room for everyone to play a game together and also have some down time away from each other. The bunk alcove was a perfect size for our young family members- what a great use of space! The location on the beach was beautiful - the ocean view redeemed the timing of our visit (it was mostly cold and overcast) as we saw sting rays, manatees, sea birds and large fish from our balcony. We were super close to the pier and shopping. We had zero wait for the elevator (a great perk of visiting in the off-season). All of our interactions with the security was positive and they did a great job of patrolling the space. The indoor pool and spa were well-maintained and the outdoor hot tub was wonderful after a chilly visit to the beach. We anticipate booking here again should our vacationing take us to PCB again in the future!
